I understand that Plastercast Peacock is primarily Paul Mlynarski, how do Paul?

I'm very well thank you Mark, although I seem to have given myself a bad back by not observing proper lifting technique while moving house. Apart from that I'm A-OK.

Who else plays with you when you take the music into the live arena?

Well we've a few people that are/have been in different bands....there's Rhys Hicks on guitar, he used to be in The Loves, David Hill on keyboards, he was in Broken Sleep, and finally there's Jimmy Bell on bass, who also plays with The Keys.

You are a very prolific song and riff writer Paul, how do you decide which bits to use for Plastercast Peacock and what to use for your other band Black Hand Laser Band?

Well the Peacock stuff is generally a bit more electro based than BHLB and quite often has many layers of keyboards which would be a bit hard to recreate in a live band situation, so we use backing tracks. I think the BHLB stuff is more songy with verses and chorus', whereas with Peacock it tends to be a bit more keyboard riffy with built up layers added on the top....even though it's more electronic, it kinda feels more organic to me. But I never set out to write a Peacock or a BHLB song, I just start the ball rolling, see what happens, and then decide between the two....or the bin.

Do you record everything yourself at home and what is the craziest thing/way you have ever recorded?

Yes everything is done at home on my mac. Used to use a tascam four track years ago which was great as it was quite restrictive, you'd really try to push it to it's limits. I've recorded percussion with some old african bongos made out of metal paint cans with fur on them, to which I then sellotaped upside down pringle tubes, and hit them with a screwdriver through a big delay. That was sometime ago on the four track, it sounded decidedly murky. I also quite like taking two completely seperate recorded riffs at random and overlaying them to see what the sound clash is like....sometimes you get something quite interesting that you never would have thought of, but most of the time it's more car crash than sound clash.

I fucking love Sega, do you have any favourite things?

I love Pro Evo. I love snow. I love trees. I love rum. I love space. I love rivers. I love the seasons (the weather or Frankie Valli), and I love Robbie Keane. I think that's it.

I happen to be aware that you follow the football club Tottenham Hotspur, have you ever been to White Hart Lane? I once witnessed me main man Dean Saunders score the winner there in an epic 3-4 battle against Villa, Villa till I die.

Yes, but not for some time now. Went a few times back in the day when Lineaker and Gazza played for us, but I never got to see my all time footballing hero Chris Waddle. I went to see them against Coventry in the cup a couple of years ago at Highfield Road, but was in the Coventry end behind the goal. It was alright though as we put three into that goal. But Villa and Dean Saunders can smoke it! (unless you're playing Arsenal)
