=================================================== Mark asks the questions in this is an email style interview with Tom aka Lonely Ghosts: Have you ever encountered an actual lonely ghost? no, ive had no supernatural experience. to be honest i dont really believe in ghosts but i like the idea of it and having the freedom to float around. but i wouldn't like to be haunted. How different does it feel to be doing this on your own after being in a band for so long? I'm used to making music on my own now but it was a bit worrying when i started out because if it all turned out shit then it would be just my fault. it means that if stuff goes bad i take it really bad but if i do something i like im really happy. I like having other people playing live, it makes it more fun. im a control freak who likes company i suppose. i'm still going to make music with other people in colaboration, i just think making music on my own was something i had to do. Who is going to be playing live on this tour, just you Tom or more folk? for this tour i have jim from the tumbledown estate and nullifier and luke formerly from not katies. it's lots of fun playing shows with them. this is the first tour ive done with live drums which is proving really interesting. i always change line ups and arrangments for gigs so im planning the next incarnation of lonely ghosts for later in the year. Do you like Wales? my favourite welsh memory is going to see Glassjaw play a month or so ago and being the most excited ive been at a gig since i was about 19. apart from that ive only been to cardiff and most of the time i've been stuck in the barfly so i think i deffinately need to work on a broader experince of wales. What about Whales, do you like them? yeah they are good. my favourite celebrity whale is Monstro out of pinochio. Do you coil up your guitar leads all nice? I ask because last time I was in Brighton someone told me off for not coiling mine properly and just shoving them in a suitcase. I try and put them away neat but then whenever i open my bag up next time they've all gone mental and tangled again. im sure im doing something wrong. i dont think i would be a good roady. see ya soon!
