Hello there, it's Mark here. Who is answering these questions and what is your role in the band?

Hello Mark. This is Colin. I play the guitar. I am not Natalie, who plays the bass, or Aled, who plays the drums. We all sing a bit.

I am going to quote your **space page "We record our songs in our houses when our parents go away." I like this vibe. What is your room of choice for recording? I have heard the kitchen is ideal (based fully on the fact Seth Lakemen got nominated for a Mercury and he claimed* he recorded his album in a kitchen) *=indicates key word.

Nowadays you can get all sorts of fancy gizmos in kitchens. like wine racks, televisions and more than one sink! Perhaps Seth had some studio-orientated additions.

Our room of choice is undoubtedly Aled's bedroom! It is quite small so we have to remove his bed and some other furniture to fit the drums in. There is wood panelling on the walls, which we're unsure of the effect of, but we know they don't stop the drums from being unbearably loud. We rest Aled's mattress against the bedroom window to cushion our feelings of guilt for disturbing the neighbours. The 'control room' is Aled's spare room, we usually have to move the drying rack into the bathroom to accommodate us and use a pile of Aled's Dad's crime thriller novels to raise the computer high enough so all the cables can reach the required sockets on the mixing desk.

It's a tedious process but gets easier and quicker each time. Its a peculiar situation when considering our friends who have gone and got good jobs since finishing uni. Our major accomplishment has been rearranging the upstairs of Aled's house at the whim of his parents' holidaying schedule.

What is your favourite venue in Bristol? Mine is the Junction.. How did your gig go there t'other week?

Good choice! Our favourite Bristol venue is probably the Junction. It is in a terrific location and run by genuinely altruistic people. The gig we did recently was fantastic! Our favourite ever. We were nervous because it was the first Bristol gig we'd organised but we managed to get enough people in and ended up playing well to a good mix of friends and strangers. Plus our friend Sam played Saxophone and sang a bit with us.

Have you been following the Olympics? I have paid little attention but I do play Sega Olympics (Virtua Athelete) on my dreamcast a lot and I am really, really quick at tapping the buttons and winning the 100m sprint. I'm like that Bolt fellow but slightly faster.

I used to have one of those games on my Sega Saturn. Athlete Kings. I used to love it put was worried I'd get arthritis. But I guess that adds to the realism.

We all like watching the Olympics. I like the uneven bars and rings and vault and stuff like that. Especially now cos Matt from Blue Peter is there getting over excited on the commentary. Not so keen on Equestrian because it is really boring and it is pants. My favourite event is the ancient, under appreciated and dying art of football. Remember Olympic Soccer on the Saturn? The graphics were strange. Triangles everywhere. Heavily flawed but charming.

On the same game my housemate Owain is really good at the high jump. Would you prefer to be able to jump high or run fast?

I can run reasonably fast anyway, but I can't jump very high, so I know what its like: Its ok. But if you mean run like Superman or jump like the Hulk? I'd say run fast. Jumping really high is quite dangerous and more scary for the public. Running extra fast is more practical.

I think Aled would be really good at high jump because his normal run is not dissimilar to that of a high jumper's approach. I've not seen Natalie jump much but she used to be a goalkeeper for Bristol City, so she must have am ample leap.

Do you support the notion of a drugged up Olympics where everyone is pumped full of 'roids?

I don't actively support it. Though I'm curious. I'd like to see ridiculously enormous competitors playing table tennis. What about a horse on steroids? If you're going to ride them about and whip them, why not drug them up? Do horses get drug tested?

The characters on Athlete Kings were comically muscular. Perhaps the programmers were saying something about the future of the sport....?

Are you going to be bringing copies of your new ep to sell to Cardiffians? I do hope so.

Most definitely! we'll have some fresh copies, free of any mistakes. The original bunch had a minor grammatical error in the artwork which has been put out to pasture in time for Cardiff.

Have you got a specific song in mind to go on to?

We've never gone on to a song so I'm quite stumped at the thought. 'House of Jealous Lovers' perhaps? for phonetical reasons. I think the song 'Sophisticated Boom Boom' by The Shangri-Las would be a good introduction. Cos its a lovely song and not because its a smarmy piece of self-reference.

THANKYOU THE JELAS WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN CARDIFF MARK

Thank you, Mark. We're very very very excited about playing. Colin.
