+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hello there John. My name is Mark and it is great to meet you via email. How are you? Oh, good. Hello from Oslo. Except that we got a lot of gnat bites in the northern part of Sweden. That's where we were practicing. You mention on your website that you still use a CD walkman. Does it play copies (cdr)? Yes, CD-R's work just fine. A lot of touring bands these days have laptops and play on them before gigs. Based on the fact that you still use a CD walkman, can we presume you will be bringing a typewriter with you? Ha. I really need one of those! Do you ever play that game where you lie around in the grass and look up at clouds and say/think about what they look like? Oh yeah, I've done that! Have you ever been to the United Kingdom before? Yes. Played the UK as part of their bands on Sufjan's Illinoisemakers tour and a Danielson "Ships" tour. Combination of last two questions in the form of a photograph:
(By the way, that picture was taken from the Cloud Appreciation Society.....a website which is well worth a poke about..it even has a cloud chat forum. Man those people LOVE clouds.) How do you feel about the fact that along with LAKE you are the first non-British based act to play at a Shape Function (the night you will be playing in Cardiff)? Wow, how about that!? It feels... fantastic! It looks like you might be staying round my house after the gig; do you have a favourite style of biscuit? I might just get a range in and then you can have what you like. Biscuits are cookies, right? Do you have anything with honey? THANKS JOHN! |
