Hi Crystal Antlers! To whom am I speaking?

You're speaking with Jonny. I play bass and sing.

Unfortunately I missed you last time you were in Cardiff, do you have fond memories of playing in Tommy’s Bar?

Don't remember too much about the actual show. We had an organ shipped over from the states and it arrived broken so we spent most of the time trying to fix it. I remember smoke pouring out of the input jack at one point. We also had some really terrible chinese food...

Have you ever heard of Top Shop? A friend of a friend was in there twice recently (they had to get clothes for work) and on both occasions Little Sister by Crystal Antlers was playing on their ‘radio station’. How excited does that make you feel?

I think that Top Shop has another company for men called "Top Man," and they gave us suits once at a festival in New York. I remember trying on suits with Jay Reatard and his band and thinking "god we're all such slobs, it's a good thing they're giving us these preppy british clothes." I still wear my suit for just about every family event that I attend...so yeah, i'm pretty excited about our song being part of their muzak.

Who is the fastest runner in Crystal Antlers?

Well, Damian claims he was a track star in High School, but I don't think he does too much running these days. I ran a marathon once, so maybe i can run the furthest. When we moved to Mexico a couple months ago, Cora and I went running on the beach and she started puking after about a hundred feet...

Did you know that the gig in Cardiff is on a Bank Holiday Monday? Do you think it is important for banks to have time off?

I just found out about that. Sounds nice, but our van was broken into in Monaco a few weeks ago and our tour manager had his ATM card stolen, and he's just now finally figured out how to get some money from the banks, so we actually really need a bank to be open on monday...

Have you ever seen a real crystal antler?

A girl gave me a crystal antler necklace a few months ago...

Many thanks Jonny, really looking forward to the gig, see you at load in!
